About
Hey there! I’m Emma—the artist, glass-cutter, and unapologetic old building enthusiast behind Effervescence By Emma.
I work mostly in linoleum printmaking, but recently have been obsessed with stained glass, combining my love for all things shiny and fragile with a lifelong obsession with architecture. If it has a weathered brick facade, creaky floors, or a turret, I’ve probably already mentally moved in. My art is deeply inspired by antiques, tiny details people usually miss, and the kind of quiet beauty that only exists in spaces with stories.
I studied architecture, which means I’m professionally trained to romanticize gutters, cry over cornices, and take 300 photos of one window. Now, I bring that love of structure, rhythm, and history into each piece I create—one carefully foiled, soldered, and slightly chaotic step at a time.
When I’m not making art, I’m usually wandering through nature trails with my partner in crime, Kaya-my mini Australian shepherd, talking to my plants like they’re coworkers, or stuck behind a camera. I love photography, especially capturing textures, light, and forgotten corners—but I’ve somehow managed to avoid actually sharing my face here… finally worked up the courage on that one.
Thanks for being here and supporting my little corner of glass, grit, and antique inspired daydreams. Stick around for behind-the-scenes chaos, finished pieces, and the occasional existential spiral over lead lines.
Thank you so much if you read this far, here’s to many more artistic whims and creative endeavours.
